How to make sure that your blog template is SEO-friendly

Even while off-site factors may be far more significant today in achieving high rankings, on-site factors are not to be neglected.

Making sure that the code of your blog / site is SEO-friendly is still a very important step. As you maybe using a ready-made template for Wordpress or other CMS, here's a quick tip to make sure that it is not doing harm to your positions in the search results.

Here's a quick way to check your backlinks (yes, their PR and anchor text too!)

If you're still not using Firefox, I will give you a very strong reason to switch immediately.

As you may know, the Google Webmaster Tools can be used to display a detail breakdown of your backlinks. But the problem is it shows no further information, meaning no PR of the linking page and no anchor text, which renders your analysis still far from complete.

Well, no worry. First get the wonderful Greasemonkey extension (if you still don't have it, you will love it on many other occasions as well). Then go straight to this Greasemonkey script and get it. When it's running visit the Google Webmaster Tools to see how the links section improved magically.

Accelerate your keyword research with Firefox

Would you mind making a great browser even better? Well, I guess I know the answer... Especially if you're an avid keyword researcher and you've run into one of the few shortcomings that Firefox has, i.e. how it handles copying tables.
