Do you you think that over 2 weeks of waiting for any response is a case of bad customer service? Well, I think so and this is why I've decided to write this short piece, even though I generally try to avoid complaining.
On March 15, I registered at SponsoredReviews.com. If you haven't heard before - it's the latest entrant into the pay-per-post genre of services.
I've not done this to add additional revenue stream to this site. I just wanted to explore the service and report on it - after all, this blog is about profitable niches and tools to exploit them - this could be one of such tools.
My blog was approved almost immediately (it is done manually). But the good customer service ends here. On the same March 15, I offered to write two reviews, including one commissioned by SponsoredReviews.com itself. My offers were labeled as "Pending Advertiser Approval", which is quite understandable.
However, a week later nothing changed in their status - still pending. I opened a support ticket to try to explain this situation. The answer came on March 23 and stated:
Marcin, Advertisers get hundreds of bids and dont always decline/approve offers right away, as they might not have the budget to buy all of them right away. In some cases they are just too busy to go through and decline offers that do not meet their requirements. Please be patient.
Well, guess what - advertisers must suffer from extreme lack of time because it's April 1 already and my two offers are still pending. There's no way to cancel your offer and it does not expire automatically.
On another note, currently there are only 40 potential advertisers - not much to chose from.
I believe this service has still a long way to go before it reaches maturity.

Yes, I agree. The concept is
Yes, I agree. The concept is good, but they do have a long way to go. I'm continually amazed when I hear about online companies that are not responsive to their customer base. After all, they should know the power of a not-so-good review online.
I'll be watching this one, but it's a "pass" for now.
