I’ve just noticed a rather creative attempt to use the sponsored reviews systems. One of the advertisers at Sponsored Reviews is offering up to $10 for your review of a website hosting/building program. The twist – the advertiser does not own the site – she is just the affiliate and asks you to use her affiliate link in the review.
That’s interesting. I could imagine that if the affiliate program converts well, the advertiser could indeed profit from this scheme. Compared with using AdSense to drive traffic to your landing pages etc., this approach has two advantages:
a) you get a chance to create many apparently independent and preselling reviews, but all with your affiliate link in them
b) you pay once, but these posts will stay, possibly earning you money over long time.
I have no idea if the idea really works but I am curious. Given the almost infinite number of affiliate programs, this could be another way to quickly expand your empire leveraging the work of other people.

Might be a good idea but...
This sounds like a good idea, but you can't guarantee the quality of someone else's work, so you'd have to be very specific about keyphrases in the brief and find a high-converting program to start with to test the idea out.

Emma,
that's true, but the idea is that you manually approve each blog that offers to write the content requested by you. So you could do the initial screening and selected just these blogs, which - judging from their archives and other parameters - ensure high quality.
good idea
Sometimes it those that can think outside of the box that make the money. With so many doing the same thing it's ideas like this that stand out.

Exactly, you can't thrive in this business by relying on (often) outdated information found online. First and foremost, you have to test and experiment, if you really want to discover your money-making niches and techniques.
BTW, a nice site, Richard. Nice layout and useful content :-)
